007 returns to the big screen in Quantum of Solace a thrill inducing, fast moving, explosive action movie that will have adrenaline junkies on the edge of their seats.

The James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, is a direct continuation of the story that started in Casino Royale. The adventure picks up immediately where the cliffhanger ending of Casino Royale left off with the audience following James Bond (Daniel Craig) on his hunt for retribution.

Treading the Line

Bond follows a trail of villainous enemies, each leading to one far more dangerous than the last as he searches for information on an organization that seems more sinister with each shred of intelligence. Everyone to fall into his path comes to a gruesome end as he is pushed past the point of negotiating and those who can’t help him attain what he needs are eliminated. More dangerous than ever 007 treads the thin line of morality that even a covert spy should have.

The Truths Revealed

After the death of Bond’s tortured love Vesper Lynd (Eva Green) who had betrayed him James begins a treacherous journey through Austria, Italy, Haiti, and Bolivia to find the truth for his unanswered questions. Caught up in intrigues and violence while unfolding the mysteries of the underworld organization that weaves its way from country to country James Bond becomes an enemy to all those around him. Even M (Judi Dench) loses her faith in the unstable, unstoppable agent as he delves deeper into the realities of what has been happening.

As everyone from the secretive organization to the CIA and even British Intelligence hunts Bond he finds an unlikely comrade in another wounded soul. Camille (Olga Kurylenko), motivated by a desperate vendetta, is running in the same circle of vicious criminals that James must infiltrate to find his answers. Calling on the help of his last trusted friend Bond brings Camille into his whirlwind assault on the man behind the organization, Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric).

Retribution

After untangling the organization and discovering the truths he had been looking for, 007 drags himself out of the emotional debris he had been buried in. MI6 welcomes Bond back, having again proven his loyalty to the service and single handedly bringing down Greene.

Anticipation for What is to Come

James Bond in Quantum of Solace is everything a fan could want 007 to be and leaves audiences anticipating what will happen next in the series. The latest series of 007 movies is off to a violent and exhilarating start. Having found a new, balanced way to interpret the story of the British agent for the cinema, Quantum of Solace brings the humour, danger, adventure, and sex appeal of the original novels to a massive film audience.

For Bond lovers and action fiends alike this recent installment entertains and excites. Not to be missed while the movie has an extended run in the theatre, viewers should re-watch Casino Royale before hitting the cinema as the story continues into Quantum of Solace.
